matcha cookies
matcha cookies have a nice tea flavor along with a soft, chewy center, cripsy outer edge, and a nice white chocolate filling and drizzle. it is defintely an unexpecting but delicious treat for everyone (mainly performative males).
ingredients:
- 2 cups + 2 tbsp all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 1/2 tbsp matcha powder
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
for filling:
- 1 bag of Lindor white chocolate balls

- 1. low heat on the stove, put your butter into a pot. let the butter bubble for about 3 minutes or until it browns and has a nutty smell. when you get your browned butter, remove from heat and transfer to a seperate bowl. let butter cool
- 2. combine flour, baking soda, salt, and matcha powder. mix well and set aside
- 3. add white sugar and brown sugar to your butter. add eggs and vailla and then whisk together for about 1 minute
- 4. once the wet ingredients are mixed, fold the dry ingredients in two intervals with a spatula. add in the white chocolate chips on the second interval. DO NOT OVERMIX!
- 5. distribute the cookie dough into balls. let the dough rest in the fridge for at least 1 hour
- 6. preheat oven to 350°. cover your baking sheets with parchment paper. put your cookie dough balls onto the baking sheets and make big holes in the dough balls. put the lindor chocolate balls into the holes and then cover them. add tiny dents into the cookie dough for texture.
- 7. place the cookies about 2-3 inches apart. bake the cookies for about 10-12 minutes or until the edges are crispy
8. once the cookies are done baking, take them out of the oven. grab a round cookie cutter or cup and make a circular motion around each cookie. let the cookies cool for about 10 minutes on the baking sheet before putting them on a cooling rack.
- 9. once the cookies are cool for another 15 minutes, drizzle some white chocolate on top of the cookies. ENJOY!
